Garden Route
The Garden Route is one of South Africa’s most scenic coastal drives, stretching along dramatic coastlines, lush forests, lagoons, and charming seaside towns. Known for its incredible natural diversity, it offers a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.

Addo Elephant National Park
Addo Elephant National Park is one of South Africa’s premier wildlife destinations and home to one of the largest elephant populations in the world. Located near Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), the park offers an authentic safari experience in a malaria-free environment.
Beyond its famous elephant herds, Addo is also home to the rest of the Big Five, along with a rich variety of birdlife and other wildlife. With its diverse landscapes ranging from dense bush to open plains, Addo provides unforgettable game viewing and a true connection to the wild beauty of South Africa.
Day 1 – Arrival in Cape Town
Arrival at Cape Town International Airport / Meet & greet and briefing with the local guide from Chilombo Safaris / Transfer to Cape Town city centre / Time to refresh and recover from the long journey at the hotel / Traditional dinner with singing and dancing performance
Day 2 – Cape Town
Scenic drive via Hout Bay and Chapman’s Peak Drive to the Cape Peninsula / Visit and short hike at Cape Point (Cape of Good Hope) / Visit to the penguins at Boulders Beach in Simon’s Town / Stop at Muizenberg Beach (colourful beach huts)
Day 3 – Hermanus
Scenic drive from Cape Town via Betty’s Bay to Hermanus / Relax at Grotto Beach in Hermanus
Day 4 – Hermanus
Day at leisure in Hermanus
Optional activity: Whale watching tour (June to December)
Day 5 – Oudtshoorn
Scenic drive to Oudtshoorn / Visit to the Cango Caves / Visit to a local ostrich farm / Traditional braai dinner in the evening
Day 6 – Knysna
Scenic drive along the Garden Route to Knysna / Explore the small harbour town and local markets / Relax at the beach
Optional activities: Boat tours to the Knysna Heads / Visit to the Mosaic Garden in Sedgefield
Day 7 – Storms River
Scenic drive to Storms River / Excursion to the suspension bridge in Tsitsikamma National Park
Day 8 – Storms River
Day at leisure for activities in Storms River and Tsitsikamma National Park
Optional activities: Hike to waterfalls / Canopy tours / Canoe tours / Segway tours / Snorkelling
Day 9 – Addo Elephant National Park
Scenic drive to Addo Elephant National Park / Overnight stay in one of the rustic rest camps / Evening game drive in Addo Elephant National Park
Day 10 – Addo Elephant National Park
Early morning and sundowner game drives in Addo Elephant National Park
Days 11–12 – Plettenberg Bay
Scenic drive to Plettenberg Bay / Beach days
Optional activity: Visit to a bird sanctuary
Day 13 – Cape Town
Scenic drive back to Cape Town

Day 14 – Cape Town
Visit to Table Mountain (either hike or cable car ascent) / Afternoon at leisure

Drop-off at Cape Town International Airport for your onward or return journey
Trip Extension
An extension of the trip with an additional program to Kruger National Park or a beach holiday is available on request.
