Botswana's Highlights
Okavango Delta
The Okavango Delta is the world’s largest inland delta and disappears entirely into the central Kalahari Desert. This unique feature has earned it UNESCO World Heritage status. Thanks to its rich flora and fauna, the delta is one of Africa’s premier safari destinations, offering both water-based and land-based wildlife experiences.
A safari along one of the channels of the Okavango River is a truly unique experience. In a traditional mokoro canoe, you glide peacefully through hundreds of papyrus-lined waterways, forming a vast network of lagoons and islands.
Khwai Concession
The Khwai Concession borders the northeastern corner of the Okavango Delta and is known for its authentic, community-based tourism, which supports local villages within the concession and creates employment opportunities for residents.
The rich diversity of wildlife and the breathtaking beauty of the Khwai River, which winds its way through the area, make Khwai a safari destination that should not be missed on any trip to Botswana.
Khama Rhino Sanctuary
The Khama Rhino Sanctuary is an organization established to protect both black and white rhinos and is operated as a community-based project. At Khama Rhino Sanctuary, you can still find rhinos that have not been dehorned for their protection.
The rangers dedicated to safeguarding these animals offer guests game drives and guided walking safaris, allowing you to get so close to these gentle giants that you can hear them breathe.
