Highlights in Zimbabwe & Mozambique

Matopos Nationalpark

The Matopos Hills are the iconic landmark of the national park, rising in the landscape as if miraculously stacked upon one another. These rock formations create a system of caves featuring paintings that date back to the San Bushmen. Special protection is given to the rhinos in Matopos, which are carefully guarded and protected by park rangers.

Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls, one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world, marks the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia and captivates visitors from across the globe. As the mighty waters of the Zambezi plunge over a cliff about 1.7 kilometers wide, a powerful spray rises into the air, visible from several kilometers away—hence the local name “Mosi-oa-Tunya,” meaning “the smoke that thunders.”

Breathtaking viewpoints, lush rainforests teeming with life, and a wide range of activities such as helicopter flights and boat cruises make Victoria Falls an unforgettable experience. It is a place where the power and beauty of nature come together in a truly unique way.

Vilanculos

Vilanculos is a small coastal town in Mozambique, known for its beautiful shallow-water beaches, freshly caught fish, deliciously prepared seafood, and colorful market stalls on local markets. The people of Vilanculos are always smiling and warmly embrace their hospitality toward international visitors.

The offshore Bazaruto Archipelago is a true paradise, with secluded sandy beaches and an extraordinary underwater world. With a bit of luck, you might even encounter a dugong.

Inhambane

Inhambane, along with Vilanculos, is one of the most important beach and seaside destinations for both domestic and international tourists. The beaches in Inhambane are lined with dunes and are perfect for long walks along the shore. In the main areas of Tofo and Barra, you’ll find bars and restaurants, while the beaches further south are quiet and secluded.
